Why do some businesses have the same mention count?

Because multiple businesses can appear on the same number of platforms. When that happens, we use tie-breakers such as the position in each platform's list and how often the business appears in top-3 positions.

Can a business improve its AI visibility?

Yes. AI platforms pull information from public sources — websites, directories, reviews, and structured data. Businesses that invest in their online presence, citations, and content are more likely to appear in AI recommendations.

Why does Claude sometimes show fewer specific businesses?

Claude often provides general advice or suggests directories instead of naming specific businesses. When Claude doesn't name businesses it still counts as a platform analyzed but contributes zero business entries.

Which AI platforms are included in this ranking?

We query four AI platforms for every page: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini. Each platform receives the same prompt and is analyzed independently.

Are the AI platforms queried independently?

Yes. Each platform is queried on its own with the same prompt. We do not pass results from one platform into another, and we do not combine outputs before analysis.

What does it mean when a business is mentioned by multiple AI platforms?

It means the same business was independently named by more than one AI platform when asked the same question. Cross-platform agreement is the strongest signal we use when assembling the ranking.
